Having not much time to play the game, I did want to try to be somewhat involved with FS2 in a way that I can be...
I have talked in the past about bringing an ELO/MLG type system for ranking among the competitive scene...Well I have finally been moving forth with it...
We only get so many select few tournaments throughout the year which allows everyone who is in FS Competition to come together. Over the length of FS2 release.
We haven't gotten to see a ranking system that can rate our players and to show the community what each player is capable of in the competitive scene.
Allowing a ranking system will enable new users to shine through the community and create a name for themselves, it will allow us easier calculations in who is better in each position and where they stand among the community.
I don't see Gamekiss releasing a ranking system that can contribute to players skill in the community in the near future...so I have finally thought I would take the time now and create one, thus
allowing us to put the shit talking aside, and let everyone's true skill be shown and proven through calculations in Tournament competitive play as of 2017! I only have time to configure NA Ranking system but in the future, with help, I will apply the same to other servers(EU/ASIA). I want people behind this and I want help from you guys! I want to make this game great again after we all have invested so much of our time and money into the game, we should try to come together and create something I think we can gladly benefit from and as well this game can. If we show we can have a legitimate ranking system this could allow new competitive players to jump in the scene and more broader viewers from twitch, etc...
Due to financial situation I will only be able to construct the website on a free based term until i see people backing me and the idea and even see support from Gamekiss I will continue to start funding for the program(service) after then.
This is what I want to establish first and would be a great visual and exciting experience for the community.
- FS2 Tournament Broadcasting
We need official broadcasters who have great quality stream (unsure of number) but we definitely need head broadcasters for tournament as they do for other games. (i.e Chris Pucket and Gandi for Halo 3 etc).
-These Broadcasters will be selected among the community and who we vote I think. Will discuss later.
-I know people don't always want to volunteer there free time to do this, but If you support what I'm saying here and want the same things as me for this game, I will personally offer
the broadcasters a nice paycheck each weekend of streaming the games( i will discuss further in the future when tournament times are closer)
I would like to construct a team of broadcasters, and people willing to work with me similarly to run the dev aspect of the ranking competitive scene. We will create visuals, commercials, etc. Work will be paid as well to the team on my own account - Guaranteed.
---THE RANKING SYSTEM---
Ok its time to get into the system. The Ranking system will for now be shown on a separate accessible 24/7 website.
After each tournament, (and tournament game) every aspect, every game, every position statistics will be recorded, (Loose balls, rebs blocks, etc) It will be thrown into a live ranking point system for each position.
What I mean by this is -- Anyone who competes in tournament will be applied into the player list ranking system, also teams will be ranked among points on how they do among each season/ year.
Each position will have a ranking to determine who was the better position in each tournament/over the year. Sure we have tournament winners, but that is based on team chemistry and team/ chemistry/ will be put alone in another ranking on the side only set for teams.
Its interesting point system and I am working on the calculations of everything previews will be provided shortly.
-We will have better tournament bracket visuals and official team logos constructed if decided by the crew leaders and overall schedules for each game and tournaments.
-The new site will also have user profiles with each statistic basically similar to real NBA profiles. These position/profile statisics can help you draft a new player to your crew thus by seeing his skill rating etc. I will also try to implement a user sign up database so if users would like they can assign themselves as free agents etc and allow crew leaders/managers to msg you for recruitment etc (just a new tool to implement new users who want to try to join the top crews of FS2.) You will also be able to see what kind of plays they are best suited for (Dash, Iso..etc)
I will also attach permanent guide outlines that users wish to put in a collective organized area for everyone to see.
Overall this is a website im hoping to construct that can allow users to see the more competitive scene of FS2.
If this becomes a sucess i would hope for gk to add it to there website or atleast a hyperlink in the forums for people to see and gain popularity!
This could open a possible way for sponsors and funding of local LAN tournaments.
Having a ranking system will motivate more people to compete and to achieve things.
