My friends and I love this game and have some wonderful moments with it. But they pay wall/amount of grind is really high. We basically started, had a blast on rookie channel, get out of rookie and get absolutely demolished. Some amount of skill is absolutely required but some people seem to have demigods for characters https://19216811.cam/ https://1921681001.id/. So we always started with new characters and play with the basic skills. Like it feels like a level between rookie and the other channel is missing. But at the same time I don't think there is any game even resembling this one? Anyone knows of any?

I can understand how frustrating it can be to hit a paywall or feel you need to make progress. It's always tough when some players have a significant advantage over others. If you’re looking for similar games, you might want to check out NBA 2K or NBA Live. They offer good basketball gameplay, though they can also be a bit grindy.
Another fun option could be Rocket League. It's not exactly basketball, but it's competitive and has a similar team-based vibe.
