  • Swing SG tips for beginners

Some people asked me about how to play swing
And I would like to say that there are different kinds of swing plays that you can learn about, and find the one that suits you

    Drive-In Swing Style

Focusing on drive-in dribbles and then able to take a long range 3 pointer or a 2 point jump shots quickly away from the defense. They can also focus on long layup attribute to play more flexible using floater, manual layup, double clutch, or jump pass. This is a play style that could extend in varieties of play styles with custom skill sets

    Example #1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuHJeDaXOHE

    Example #2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrJiLq5teH0

    Example #3 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcLu...HwRyz2QNifgjem Bp2cBvgXbg0E2&index=2

    Floater + Alley-Oop(Flly-oop) Style

Specialized on floater with maximum long layup range. They can also mix jump pass, double clutch, and alley-oop as a combo, to play mind game against opposing big

    Example #1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnmdniG_2rk

    Example #2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ao0Wdn9wcvA

    Example #3 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcLu...HwRyz2QNifgjem Bp2cBvgXbg0E2&index=2

The most important thing of all would be "if you have the maximum long layup range or not"

It is very important since swing strategy relies heavily on floater shots

Long layup range sub attribute takes huge part of that

Maximum long layup range without range up sub attribute - 228

Maximum long layup range with range up sub attribute:

    217 + 8
    215 + 9
    212 + 10
    209 + 11
    207 + 12
    205 + 13

These are estimated values but pretty reliable

For more accurate picture, just compare this to your own range
Image is based on 1920 x 1080 resolution with sky angle view

Just go to Tutorial -> Basic Tutorial -> Layup Practice Section

You will see your exact range of your long layup

Take a snapshot at sky angle view and compare it to the image above

Good luck and I hope we see more swing players in the future

i made a sg so i can float and get into its playstyle then i realized how slow and useless it is at level 24 and rookie cards, what stat makes it viable in terms of floater shot speed? just long layup?

Floater speed is affected by how fast you release those keys

Sometimes when you shoot floater, you could hear the MC kind of stuttering before saying "What happened?"

That's because you didn't release the keys fast enough

Try to practice on your own in friendly match until you don't hear those stutters

Fair warning. If you do not have the maximum range to play Flyoop Or Drive in swing. Do not bother with the style.

If you cant be patient and learn how to shoot a correct Floater, Do not bother with the style.

          You will need patience.

I'm often asked about how much layup I have and whats my range. I have 200 +17 layup range on my cards

You're Correct. Most complex style in the game. Most people cant maintain this style. Just go in rooms by yourself and practice practice practice. Not to mention throwing in jump pass and alleys and double clutches along the way. Good Luck

You should have the equivalent of 225 Long Layup stat if you maxed talent.

Have in mind that a good PF/SF can block your floater 24/7 if you are too obvious so try to not be predictable.
