I wanted to ask, do C's require an SPC to be any good or are the normal one's also good? Will 40+ points from the SPCs matter much vs the normal amount points that you get from normal characters?

Welp. As a C, turned PF, turned line walker. The spc's help in certain aspects. Some extra speed, block, etc. never hurt.
But, it does honestly come down to skill for the most part, at higher levels. And ping. So going free C wouldn't be a game killer. It would actually be better for someone to go free C then upgrade to spc after they get the skill aspect down, at least on paper. -
That white non spec (nick?) center is commonly used by the best centers in EU for some reason, so I guess u probably should spend that cash on slots.Comment

SPC's don't help a ton. Skill will always out weigh stats, hands down. Personally it all comes down to what you're willing to do. If you don't want to buy an SPC, you don't have too. Sure it helps to have a bunch of stats at the start, but once you get into pro, none of that really matters. CenterTain is one of the better C's in NA and he is a non-SPC.
Tldr; Are the 40 att. good? Yes. Are they needed to be good? Absolutely not.Comment

Everyone left pretty solid answers so I don't really need to go on. Though I would say the 40 attri points definitely helps you get that block attribute up without sacrificing your other defneisve stats. Though non-spc is fine, I would highly recommend a SPC character if you can get one.Comment
