  • Reading SW/PG ?

Hey guys! I just signed up on the forums hoping to find some help from here. I'm new on FS2 aswell and i chose to play the center (C) position. The blocking is somewhat coming together, it's really hard but im trying to work on it. The most i have problem with is reading SW's "delayed" layup(?) and PG's fake on-air pass, i hope you know what im referring to haha. Anyways could you guys shed some light on this subject ? How can i better read are they making some sort of a layup or going for the fake ?

Also if you want to add me on steam/ingame, feel free to do so! I'm always looking for friends to play with. Currently i'm lvl 18 in the major league. My In-game name is Dfnc, and you can request for my steam via personal message in-game or on the forums.

For SW(since this is new position) i think that u have to jump early, as for floater.
PG's jump pass you simply must predict.
About blocking it's all about position and timing. Check some youtube

But the thing is that if u start predicting you're automatically gonna go wrong 50% of the time. Now that doesn't sound like effective defending. Is there other differences that could help identifying em? So far ive noticed that on both cases they put the ball thru their legs or somewhere down there, when in lay-up they simply often extend their arm. So far it's been really hard trying to read these fakes with this method but maybe after practise and tons of hours it would be viable?

Only thing you can do is tell your PG to jump in block for that layup so u can wait if he jump passes, or u jump to block that and pg tries to intercept/steal or even block sometimes after jump pass.

For jump pass there is no way to confidently predict it unless the pg has repeatedly done it the entire game. For sw delayed layup again this is a new position so I'm not sure but usually you jump when the ball leaves the defender's hand so jump as soon as you see that ball go up.
