  • I need tips for how to score with a low lvl SF pls

    hey,
i used to play FS1 alot,i came to FS2 and opened a PF and actually had a good success with him.
the thing is when i picked up SF recently im honestly just clueless about how am i suppose to score,
now in FS1 my most played was SG and in the lower lvls i used to to one of this things:
1.I think it was called "kugi" or something, when you change direction just when the teamate pass you and you create a gap between you and the defender, that what i was usually doing without any skills in the lower lvls.
2.normal dribble, but in fs1 when you dribbled the defender was "confused" for couple of moments and you could run and shot free shot or pass to a teamate if someone covering you,.

But in FS2 i really dont know how am i suppose to score when im just a lvl 8 SF,i dribble them with the normal dribble they seem to always get to me with the sprint,i dont think the in and out with the pass is even possible here and the sprint is an issue here too,i cant attack the basket because all i have is a normal layup
v cut is useless in those lvls because there is no passer good enough to see you do that(hell there is no passers at all,i dont even get the ball back after i pump fake someone)
so at the end of the day i just dont know what to do,those lvls were very easy with the pf but damn i cant do shi t with the SF and it feels like experience in FS1 means nothing in this role.

Well sadly I didn't play fsb1 so i can't say anything about that but other than that if you got good defenders and bad teammates not willing to pass as you described you'll have a hard time until you get some dribble skills and even then if the defender is good enough you'll run into trouble.

As long as you defend well in return though that shouldn't be too devaststing.
    It's as you said:
Drive if you feel like u can without getting caught otherwise small dashes to get it just out of his blockrange works as well..good thing is you can make marked2pts rather easily, be glad you aren't playing a low sg with randoms

You should probably play in major, even with your low level people won't complain if you can pass and make shots after they pass to you, also I think there are more players in major than rookie so you should be able to level faster also. Other than that if you could teach you teammates how to iso in rookie thats easy wins until you get a good team.

Low lvl SF's are relatively easy to play on offense, as long as you got people who have a team first mindset. Low level SF's can still make contested shots(but it is not recommended to take them, but most make a high % of late contested shots), but most of the time you want to either get an open mid range shot or layup.

You several options to score. One way is to beat them by the drive. Another is relying on fakes, passes, and quick jumpers. The last way is to play around screens. If you can run a pick and roll well, scoring is ridiculously easy against people who don't know what they are doing.

Once you get manual layup and backstep, it should be a lot easier to score. A lot of bigs in major struggle with guarding manual layup. You can run an effective offense if the opponents are always scared of you coming in the post. Try to drive in and do manual a couple times. This will open up the perimeter for you, and you can mix up the drive and layup with a back step, and your offense will be solid with basically only two moves(in major).

Stick with the game, and it will be a lot easier to score. Good luck.

Surprise none of you said Vcut cause IMO that skill is good on low level and maybe high level if used right but the problem is you need a teammate that knows when to pass for Vcut. If you got that its EZ....

V-cut is the bread and butter of Rookie/Major.

V-cut and quick jumper should get you through the defendors of rookie/major
