Cards give you attributes which can be upgraded to further increase the attributes using card spray upgrades.If you manage to get a card set they give you a bonus such as skill or bonus attributes depending on the set. The amount of attributes you receive depends on the rarity( Normal, Magic, Rare, and Legend) and class (Rookie, Major, and Pro) of the card. For example, a legend pro card gives you +7 base attribute while a legend rookie card gives you +3 base attribute.
