  • Only Thing I see worthy for Windows 10

Gaming -Windows 10 brings with it DirectX 12 and for serious gamers this is a must have. Initial reports suggested DX12 would bring a 30-40% performance gain over DX11 and whereas the reality is closer to 10-20% that’s still money for old rope. Windows 7 and Windows 8 will never get access to DX12.
In addition Windows 10 supports streaming games from an Xbox One. Controllers for the Xbox One are compatible with Windows 10 PCs and you can be playing The Witcher 3 on your desktop or laptop in minutes. Best of all, Xbox One streaming is fast and responsive and again it will not come to Windows 7 or Windows 8 at a later date.

To all the guys who haven't seen it yet , They removed the slide and added a start menu. And when you open the start menu the Slide will be in it on right side of the start menu.

I'm not sure if windows 10 would be faster than windows 8 but the best that they've done is windows xp and 7. I hope windows 10 doesn't fall on the category of Windows Vista where it looked nice at first but it's actually a piece of shit laggy OS.

Lol at the Windows Vista comment. Hopes were so high for the UI enhancement and it was terribly laggy.

I'm sure Windows 10 is a great OS. However, i wouldn't rush to install because it is the initial release. I'd wait for an update or 2 for devs to catch up (like Gamekiss) to avoid disruption. I've heard that other apps have great performance though and work without any kind of tweak or updates.

Cortana seems extra. Like it wants to appeal to the market of having voice-activation and a personal computer be your buddy. Kinda weird IMO. I also don't like that those tools typically log your inputs to create a "better experience" by selling the info to advertisers for more relevant ads. Seems better for them than to me.

The blending of mobile OS and Desktop as a continuous system is so innovative. I'd love a way to convert Android phone/tablets to Windows 10 down the line.
Also I hope devs or the OS can serve as a more efficient workflow between mobile & computer. I'm still transferring photos from desktop to moble via Dropbox and email because i don't trust cloud-based services.

Can't wait to upgrade when the time comes. Seems like Windows' best OS yet.
