The TopTier crew will be hosting a free tournament for all FS2 users! The tournament will take place on Sunday 12/19 5pm PST (8PM EST) and will include 300$ in cash prize(s) (via paypal s/o to Anomaly and Aussie for funding).

It has been nearly two years since FS2 has hosted any official tournament content - so we hope that we can provide this missing sense of energetic competition for the community (we are also bored). For an exciting competition, we encourage the best NA FS2 players to team-up and compete with us on 12/19.

Tournament location & game format: Games will be played in the free match channel, and should be set to 5-minutes. On game day (12/19), we will release a tournament bracket which indicates home and away teams and the matchups for each round. The home team will be responible for creating a room in the free match channel.

Reporting and broadcasting games: At the end of each series/round, team captains will be required to send ShotFake screen shots of each game result in addition to the replay files for the games played.*All players are welcomed and encouraged to stream their games live to the public *~ Streaming makes the whole tournament process smoother, and even more importantly, we get to watch 🍿. So please stream your games! In addition to player streams, a live stream will be available for all games that appear in the in-game live broadcast sytem.

Disconnecting mid-game: In the event that a player disconnects during competition, players should record the score and screen shot the exact time the DC occurred (this information is also kept in each players replay file) and send to tournament @Organizers. Players will re-start the match, and run down the clock without scoring until it reaches the same time that the DC occurred. The final score will be added to the disconnected matches score to determine the winner. If a team disconnects more than two times, they may be subject to disqualification.

FAQS - Frequently asked questions:

Are any play styles allowed? Yes, all play styles and positions are allowed.

Does it cost anything to enter the tournament? No the tournament is free to enter, also there will be 300$ in cash prizes.

Will the games be streamed? There are a number of players streaming their games for you to watch. Also, we will stream the games that appear on the in-game live broadcasting system. After the tournament is over, youtube videos of all games will be made available.

Is this a GK sponsored tournament? No this is an unofficial tournament hosted by the community. We just want to have some fun competing against each other in a tournament setting ~

What time is the tournament? *The tournament is set for Sunday December 19th, 5PM PST *(that is 8PM EST)

Will games be played at the same time, or separately? To make this an efficient tournament, all games each round will be played at the same time. This is subject to change based on the number of teams who apply and compete.

Are teams allowed a substitute if a player doesn't show up? Yes, each team is allowed to list two substitute players. Substitues are not requied.

Are any regions allowed to play? No only North American players are allowed to participate.

Is this a single elimination tournament? No all rounds will be played as a best of 3 series. The finals will be a best of 5! This is also subject to change based on the number of teams who apply and compete.

Just an idea, you can create a Google Sheets with the team names on the tab. You can then have each competing team upload their recordings in order to determine who won the match.
