This was the 2017 fall mini tournament
This is the current tournament right now
This is what the tournaments WERE like BEFORE

See how you can't really tell the difference between this spring tournament and the fall mini tournament? Who's idea was it to purposely deny teams entrance into the tournament where all teams should play to prove their skill? It is clear that you guys are implementing something new using the new crew league division system, but do you guys NOT see how it isn't working? There are NOT enough players on this game to split crews into 3 subcategories and then only allow the top of those categories to participate in the tournament. (new crews can't participate since they start in the bottom category).

My crew, Dogeza, and another crew TaliiBan were denied entrance into the tournament. Dogeza has been in 2 tournaments already, what makes this one so "special" that the brackets are selective? It can't be a top 32 when you guys don't accept 32 teams. Don't tell us to play crew league to be able to participate in the tournament because crew league is ruined. When crew league was good, you could find a team to play against and also type in chat to communicate with your team. What in the world made you guys decide to split like... the 30 crews in the server into 3 categories, where most crews play in different time frames and different days of the weekend.

Have you guys looked at the stats of how many games were played on crew league? Not fucking many.
Here is my solution: Merge the 3 divisions back together and don't put any restrictions on the amount of teams that can join the tournament BECAUSE RESTRICTIONS ARE FOR WHEN THERE IS A LIMIT AND THE REST OF THE TEAMS MUST BE CUT OFF. You guys have 24/32 slots filled. For what reason does there need to be restrictions?

Looks like you guys are busy haphazardly combining and separating pro and rookie and major and star and renaming it so much that you guys completely forget about crew league. Are you guys understaffed or what. Busy copy pasting new items or what.

Just take a look at crew league and tournaments in the past and take inspiration from those. Its not hard, if it aint broke dont fuck it up.

^ All this and another great example is the brackets being 3 days late so far and counting.

Everything is a giant mess, crew league has been dead because of the split into 3 divisions. Now tournament suffers for it, like many things over the course of time hamfisted decisions lead to problems that could have easily been prevented. Worst of all you people never, ever learn.

A damn shame indeed. Haven't played crew league in over a year.
Can't force other game versions onto us since our game is dead tbh. Fix what we have first

I already wrote them about that: they are legit delusional or just not paying attention to their game (flip a coin and ur right both ways probably)

i guess they still think they have the same playerbase as 2015-16
        Greetings Baller,

Thank you for contacting Freestyle2 Support.

Please be informed that we choose that condition, participants should be in one crew and the crew should be in the top 50, because we would want the crew who takes the crew league seriously to have a privilege on reaching their ranks. We hope this information helps.

If you have any other in-game related inquiries, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

This is a fragment of a support ticket that I wrote almost one year ago. (March 26, 2017)
The New Crew League System is AWFUL
          Game Play
          Finished

          Dear GM Team,

I would like to provide some input for the new Crew League system. It is extremely difficult for the top 25 crews in Ultimate Division to find games in Crew League for numerous reasons:

          - Only 25 crews in the highest league
          - Leagues include crews from other servers
          - Extremely long wait times
          - No incentive to advance to the next league
          - No incentive to stay in long-time crews (people just create new crews every season!)

I could see how this system would work overseas in TW or CN, but it clearly doesn't work in our version of the game. The game population of FS2 is too small for this to work, and it is being further divided by putting crews from different servers into the same league. Why is it that the game selects my rival crew is a crew from ASIA server?

Furthermore, with the poor matchmaking due to few teams in Ultimate, people are just making new crews to play in the lower ranked leagues, leaving Ultimate league dead. There is no more loyalty and incentive to play in long time crews... Say goodbye to Crew history and the prestige of old crews like Qnm, dUP, KnockSteady. Everyone makes new crews every single crew league.

In the future, I ask you to consider the implications of adding new features from other versions of the game (TW/CN) that may not work in our version of the game.
          Greetings Basketballer,

Thank you for contacting FreeStyle2 Support.

We really appreciate your time and effort in sending us this feedback regarding our Crew League System. Rest assured that we will let GM Thor know about this.

If you have any other concerns, feel free to send us another ticket.

To put it simply, the dev team can't be assed to revert or modify the crew league system to accommodate the small population of the game.

Yes the crew league requirement really hurt many crews. There must be a reset of crews' ranks with only 1 division and a new incentive to play CL.

To add on to OP. Here's a history lesson:

                  Super Crew League Notice

                  Super Crew League NA Brackets
                  http://freestyle2.joycitygames.com/news/notice/2924

This was the greatest crew tournament in FS2's four years of existence... Arguably the most competitive, NEARLY hack-free (aside from two or three teams on low settings) 32 team tournament out of them all, with FS2's first ever group stage, BO5 finals and IRL rewards. And let's not forget that it was the only tournament in FS2 history where a large portion of it was played on a central server, meaning that the longtime geographical advantage west players had over central/easties was gone. Also, IIRC, a huge balance update was applied halfway through the tournament, which finally nerfed PF 3pt, which ended up changing iso comps forever.

In that tournament, there were quite a number of reputable Chinese teams, headlined by Pushing and co., as well as other American talent.

                  This tournament included...

                  Favorites:
                  - dUP A: DBLL's team (who ended up reverse sweeping QNM after being down 0-2 in BO5)
                  - dUP B: Fixt PG iso, arguably in his prime, with Raida/Aim/Pol. Swept groups despite being in the group of death
                  - QNM A: Pushing/ST006/Asur (arguably the second best dash team ever to play in NA. Pushing's 95%+ WR season)
                  - VIP: StyleZ/Milks/Fairy (StyleZ + one of the best PF defensive duos ever)
                  - Force: Archer's PF Iso team, which was the first +36 range PF to be featured in a tournament

                  Risers:
                  - Astrological: Valioa/Syzera/Fundamentals. This was one of Valioa's last serious tournament, and first tournament for future champ Syz
                  - Diaobo: I believe this was Hanmaymay/DJFan's first tournament (DJ went on to win two tournaments)
                  - OP B: Hasssan/Urie (both OG players) and YoloSafety's first tournament, he would eventually be one of the best C's months down the line

                  Returns/Retirements:
                  - VIP B: Tonio/Kevin/Papinomas. Three OG players giving the tournament a run (they might have subbed someone, not sure)
                  - Anonymous: CJBaller's return to the competitive scene, along with Chai and Stacked
                  - KS B: Proto/Trans/Franz aka the return of #FakeWest + Proto
                  - KS A: under their matching names of Zone, this was the return of the first All American/East tourney winners
                  - QNM B: Return of Temp & Destroy
                  - OP A: I believe this was one of GreatWall's last tournaments
                  - Senile: OG OBT crew, played by Ronnie/Grande and the three brothers Kuzi/Sanct/Lecrae

                  MEME TEAMS:
                  - BigOne: Little666's dash team. MikeCool was on this team LOL
                  - Dr Hospital: Burton's triple SF squad
                  - Party: YES, BLIZZYBLAKE PLAYED IN THIS TOURNAMENT
                  - SoD A&B: Team A led by Soldier King/Aussies/Brian, and B led by JUSTINBBEAR.
                  - TeamClutch: Shaq + Ahkira. Yes they played a tournament together
                  - Infiniti: Led by the one and only KhenPierce
                  - Bruh: Left-Eye's meme squad
                  - Nig**rs United: This was an actual team
                  - SoftRiceKing: Led by Cookie & Wyh, who was west at the time. Played tournament together as a dash comp

The finals for this tournament was officially commentated by yours truly, along with MikeCool and Soldier_King on the Gamekiss stream. Unfortunately all the footage expired from Twitch so as far as I know there is no vod available for it

Honestly, this was probably the best tournament that was ever run by Gamekiss and it just featured so many OG players, as well as upcomers that would eventually go on to win a tournament or become one of the best at their positions. It was a real turning point for FS2, and a lot of people were convinced things would become better especially with the central server testing... But unfortunately, this tournament was never followed up with another SCL, nor was central server ever reintroduced.

It's really sad to see that we can't even get 32 teams for a major tournament anymore.

This is a very interesting resource package. I'm a fairly new player of Minecraft, and I like this sandbox game. I am so addicted to the game that I could not find the best server for me to play in the future. An acquaintance advised me to look here https://servers-minecraft.net. The site contains servers that contain all game modes, such as Skyblock, Prison, Factions, Survival, SMP, Towny, and others. It's great. I, as a newcomer, can't help but feel good about it. And your work is just delightful. I hope to learn how to do something like this in the future.
