also if all you guys just look at feet, you gonna face shot by a high 3pt success SG. I think that's a part of it, but nothing great is accomplished alone.
With practice, you can read and block.

This is how I defend people and it works a lot as pumpfakes require the motion of the arms moving up, while feet means that they are actually shooting and there will be no fake coming from that (except for that of a DG with the jump shot pass, which I use a lot). Hope this comment helped!
^^^ Another player following through what Shotfake said Sir. I again second what TheRealAce said. The feet will tell you when to jump.

I do not dismiss what SoldierKing said though that "you gonna face shot by a high 3pt success SG". This happened when you play with SFs/PFs in FS1 but not in FS2 so practice like what Shotfake and Valioa adviced. If they bring back the freestyle "Set Shot" from FS1 and make this available to SGs (Set Shot was exclusive to Forward positions) then, we may need to put some points in block to extend it's effectiveness. Set shot allowed you to shoot without the animation of your feet leaving the ground.

Ooops... I said too much. Got to go and talk to a girl.

Well one thing that can help this either way is intercept, if your big is holding w in front of their big, and you have a g that can intercept, even if he successfully fakes you, you can intercept (I lost a tournament like this when pg intercepted my fake that worked).

I believe the numbers for a 24+ 3pt success SG that face shots and you late contest and watch the feet are 30+ pct. Meaning if he shoots one shot, you can make him miss, but if he gets the reb and shoots 2, likelihood is one shot is going in.

I think every once in a while throwing an on time jump with a teammate switching with you (though giving up a 2 if they pass inside), is good, and you can mix in reads as well , depending on how well you are able to recover the ball if they miss .
