  • SW vs SF? Thoughts?

SW is pretty lackluster atm. They have some dribble skills to make up for what? Missing every contested mid shot and free 3 pointer? SFs have higher mid shot, 3pt shot, and the same drive speed as SW. Dont forget SWs crazy innate long layup stat. So they can use their scoop shoot which actually fucking misses quite frequently if it isnt completely shut down anyways. SWs are very fast indeed. They are super good for iso strategy which anyone can pretty much pull off. Pgs Pfs Sfs Sgs and centers. So whats so special about sw then if anyone can iso? A good SW can definitely get shit done no doubt. A good SW can solo carry games with ease for sure. However you have to be a lot better than your opponents to do so because SWs will miss alot of contested shots. So you need to pretty much be completely open through dribbles or whatever creative stuff you can think of. SFs require less thought and skill to do the exact same thing. Rather that trying to get open, as long as your mid shot doesnt get blocked, its probably going in. I believe SFs are better than SWs almost entirely because a good sw could probably do more and carry harder with a good SF. Stat wise SWs need a good (+10 or 15)amount of points in midshots to not miss no marks and full greens and nail some pullup jumpers and fadeaway twos(which still miss sometimes) SFs have this with passive skills alone, putting sw in a disadvantage. Sws have a passive sp drive which is good except the fact that sf gets the same exact skill at lvl 24 but when SWs get lvl 24 they dont have nearly any of the same passive skills sfs have. Which means they need to cover for their weakness to be decent where as SFs are already decent and are using points to get even better..

TLDR: sw is a good position dont get me wrong but SFs are just too good in comparison and SWs are a bit lacking.

um........ SWs are op o-o But i can understand what you mean, Sw may seem really viable, but it lacks some defense resist and success ability

but that trip prevention is something else at times.

I don't see alot of SWs use the tripping prevention and apparently it gets stolen by anyone at a high %?

they probably dont know that you can drive out of the trip prevention to dodge the defense

          SW's shouldn't fucking exist.

SF is defintely better than SW on the defense end, block rebound etc, but in terms of offense, I think sw and sf are quite similiar except one with high mid def rrsist and one with high layup range, in the end of the day it all comes down to cards.

SW is my favorite position to play. SW is pretty terrible at D but if you mix up your skills, you can kill offensively. SF is statistically better All-Around but SW is funner.

Pretty hard for cards to make up 24 3pt success and 12 3pt def resist
