  • Why is there not a NA East Coast Server?

I play as C and when I get out pinged on rebounds it can be really frustrating. Please make an east coast server. IDK why you haven't.

FS2 doesn't have a big enough population here in NA for a second server.

Here is some history for some of those who wonder why the server is placed in such an awful location in NA.

During CBT, the server was located on the east coast. At the time, the majority of the CBT players were from NA (handful of FS1 vets played at this time).

However, the current NA server was placed in the beginning of OBT in order to accommodate Asian players as there was only one server for all of GK, excluding EU. Shortly after the game was finally released, they created an Asia server as the response from the Asian players was overwhelming, and soon they had two servers (which was later merged in the midst of server connectivity issues.)

Today, the NA server no longer needs to support players from Asia and thus the current server location is now outmoded. Though a Chicago server could theoretically be put in place in order to give the Americans and Canadian best pings, it is important for GK to consider BR and Mexican players.

It is highly likely that we will be seeing a server based in Texas, which should provide stable ping to the vast majority of players in the game. Unfortunately the FS population is not large enough to support two servers on both the west and east Coast of the US, but we can definitely look towards the next few months for smoother gameplay when they announce the moving of the server.

Honestly This month we should have news about the server moving to central or not because it has been 2 going 3 months since the "testing"
