  • FS2 Slowly Dying..~

Sad to say, but FS2 is slowly becoming more & more dead.

I mean, we gained a lot of players from Steam & the first 2-3weeks of it was live af. Especially Rookie/Major channels.
I seen about 10 FS2 Streamers on a daily basis playing the game. But as soon as the channels merge & the first day of tournament lineup matches. I say we only kept about 15% of the steam players who actually continue to level up and play the game & we sadly didn't keep none of the streamers really. I had attempted a 24hour stream myself over the weekend to keep players interested.

I been doing my best to keep the community live, by merging professional players with new players. Even host live tryouts for people to just watch on livestream. But sad to say, I can't merge the whole FS2 community. I mean, we do need some competition out there. Players who can become their own leader and get their own crew & set of people to play against others. There was only one other person who was a steam player who tried to do this. A guy name Josh.

Josh made a crew called "SnuggleSquad" and I watched this guy play, even skype'd with him. He brought a lot of rookies into his crew, & played in tournament.. sadly... they got destroyed. Like, I didn't even want to continue watching the rest of tournament games after seeing how many teams got destroyed by OBT players who started over.
I see GameKiss intention of holding the tournament. But that was a fail & so was this channel merge.

Maybe I am just bishing about this too much, but I am just telling you what I see right now. Nothing but the same set of star channel players stacking up win streaks for achievements on lv24-40(pro channel players) causing them to not even want to play the game no more. Then we have star channel players who don't even want to play with no type of random people (which is understandable) cause they are noobs who don't know how to VS a team of 3star OBT players.

Right now this game is all messed up and I would like something to be done about it, I just don't know what.
It'll sure surprise me though, to see GameKiss bring & KEEP the newcomers of FS2.

only thing we can do is have pros help new players, i try to help a bigman every week and take him under my wing, i have recently actually this very hour told ssdeng i see potential, i want to help you out and train you, its just helping out players you feel like actually wanting to learn the game, one good deed at a time from an individual x20 individuals is 20 good deeds in one moment, and hopefully those 20 people stay, and help out others, and so on, a ripple effect. but ofc these "top players" only care about being the best and destroyin trash.. well there won be much trash to destroy once its all picked up, put in the trash can, taken to the dumpster, and never seen again

Most of the "rookies" played in the rookie tournament were nothing less than experienced players destroying true rookies. I bet they also won the tournament on both NA&EU servers. This is just disgusting and they should be ashamed. I give no respect to greedy people taking advantage on the weak just for their own pleasure and greediness.

There's something about what you're saying. It's sad to see new players enter the pro channel and struggle to find a match and get destroyed by veterans but if Gamekiss want to have a better chance at keeping these rookies, the best option will be to seperate the channels once again to pro 24-39 and star 40-50, or in other variations like pro 24-33 and star 34-50 and so on.

BUT we all know star channel will be dead again. So I think the best thing to do is to leave the situation as it is and to keep up with the events to pull more rookies, because the game is still popular on steam among the free-to-play games, the rookie channel is still flooded and people will keep coming and try out the game. Once there are enough 40-50 lvl players they should re-open the star channel. This is just my thoughts though, Could be a better solution.

We didn't destroy them. It was a close game at the end D:
And my crew was legit rookies.

I agree though. I as a newcomer have been trying to get kids from my school to play, but I haven't been really affecting the community that much. I don't think I will be able to Twitch Stream though, because I don't really think people would enjoy my voice or gameplay. I really like the community and the game. The only thing I can say though is that the learning curve for many people is way too high as they come in with no basketball experience and soon get wrecked. Their first impressions of this game are that it is pay to win, and they immediately get off. It is sad, but true.

Maybe, you can look at the steam charts link below.

As a F2P player, I have to say it takes a while to reach lvl 24+ (without exploiting).

They should add a matchmaking system so we can all rage about how bad the matchmaking is.
An ongoing analysis of Steam's player numbers, seeing what's been played the most.

Coming back to play FS was cool for a while but I don't know why I lost interest anymore. So I will just go back to ranking up on League of Legends and playing ESEA on CSGO. I feel like if they can do matchmaking in the public matches and having a separate crew channel for all the crews to play each other for "best records" and have like a pro tourney for like top 32 Crews in the Crew Channel then the game will be fun again.

Niggas complained about FS1 not having any exposure, no tourney's, lack of updates low community and hacks. In actuality niggas will never be satisfied. We got exposure to steam Which has a community of 6 million and growing, we got gms announcing tourneys n hosting them, community now has more than 8 pages which is 48 teams, we get skill/item updates frequently. Ya'll need to relax and be patient, let the new players get used to game and level to pro. Once they get there its up to us vets to guide them or advised them on how to get better.

Shoutout to EYE who unfortunately made this post for guiding new players.
and Shoutout to GM lucy for Banning RattKing in tourney for hacking.

Hey EYE when spectate mode on a team room is avalible it will be easier to expose top players on twitch and commentate to the twitch community on how they 0play

The main problems that stagnate this game's growth:

-There are a few guides for level 50, but people that really need help are the low/mid range levels where there aren't all the skills, SPC's, cards, toys etc. There's a huge "burden of knowledge" and there aren't many guides to really cover it all. I've been playing for about a week and some change, and there are some things that don't make sense.

-A lot of the "better" players are down at the lower levels discouraging new blood from playing because they aren't quite good enough to dominate at their level so they go to the lower levels so they feel good.

-People abuse the kick/VIP kick when players don't meet their expectations and it's such a small community that you run into the same people and the cycle continues, you don't really get the chance to prove yourself.

As content creators you could help by breaking the game down, some game analysis and commentary, coaching some newer players or playing with them, etc. And then there's always just trying to tell more people about the game. A guide about fundamentals, A general FAQ with a basic cover-all guide would help tremendously among other things.
