Kind of a weird layout.
Why not have 6 teams on the left side, 6 on the right. 3 games each for the first round, and single layered from there?
You basically giving 4 teams a free pass on the first round.
Also, I updated my first post but incase you missed it, Arigato was replaced by Dirty on our team.

Because this layout can be generate completely random.
Your example correct too but how decide who take free pass on 2nd round? Random generate again?
So we discuss it between orgs and choose easiest option.

Btw here is updated tournament rules:
-Teams played in Friendly Mode - first to 2 wins.
-Half time - 4 min. If draw - select penalties.
-Every team had only 1 sub between matches.
-Team squad - 4+1(sub).
-Teams must have captains who post screenshots after every match.
-Teams must have names for standings and tournament sheet.

-If team dont have full squad or late more than 10 mins after tournament start this team forfeited!
-If someone dc during match this match continue and result will be counted but if match ends draw penalties will be not possible (bot dont choose it) so team with bot will lose match even if draw.
If both teams have exactly numbers of bots in teams during match and match ends draw this match will be replayed.

Also some important notes about rematching if bug will be detect:
- if someone disconnected after 30 seconds from match start and noone score, this match can be replayed but team with dc player must take screenshot with match time, score and put it in this topic.
Because match will be continued even with bot player, teams must close game manually and start new match.

And about screenshots:
-Screenshots must be take with match statistic. For this press Tab before taking screenshots.

Btw forum attachments have 100 kbs limit so use image hostings or compress images.

Also contact with me in game - MedveD (yeah its me just make new df stopper) if you have troubles or doubts.
It will be helpful if all team captains add me ingame. (NOT Nubaso this time!)

You start with 12 teams, which will have 6 winners after the first round, then from 1 of the 3 winners only 1 team has to skip a round, which also would be further down the line.
It seems a lot more fair to me only 1 team who already won 2-3 matches to 'auto-win' one match, rather than having 4 teams be in the next round right at the start.

Don't get me wrong though, I appreciate the effort you guys are putting in, just something to consider I guess.

I totally agree. While random, you still have a seed style bracket going, with no data behind it to accurately seed people. In other words, you are giving 4 free "byes" to 4 random teams that didnt earn their place to be exempt from the 1st round. Those 4 teams in the second round, should actually be facing each other in the first round.

If challonge doesnt support the amount of teams you have Nubaso, you could try http://binarybeast.com. I have been looking at this site to host an FSF season, which would go over a few weeks span and we tally points for W/L/T.

Main problem is challonge.com dont have custom sheets and puts 12 teams only one way.

Nubaso u could ask for the ratings picture in the end of every game in order you guys could add the best scorer, best assister and the MVP of the tournament, just an idea

Its good but take more time - previous tournament take 3 hours...
So lets doing group phase next time, not now...
One free pass to final dont give silver medals.
Team what lose final will be playing vs team what lose previous round like bronze match but for silver and bronze medals so i think its fair enough.

With the way Nubaso has it laid out now, there are 3 teams + 1 "bye" in the semi-finals. Instead of going crazy with group phases now (Which I had planned to use for the season), simply seed the team with the most goals -up to that point- as the team that gets the "bye", and let the other 2 face off.

We don't have to follow the bracket exactly- it's just a reference. The team with the most scored goals by round 3 is the team that clinches and goes to the finals, with the other 2 winners facing off at a chance to face the top scoring team. Simple, and no one gets treated unfairly.

EDIT- In the event 2 of the winning teams score the same amount of goals- well just do a coin flip at that point. http://cointossr.com is great for that.

Hm ok...but not with the most goals.
Lets combine ideas - on semi-finals stage make group phase of 3 teams and playing matches home and away.
Like A-B/A-C/B-C=6 matches and best 2 of 3 teams going to final.
Win-3pts, draw-1pts, lose-0pts.

group phase must be in the beggining not in the end, thats makes no sense at all, since we are in the beggining of the game 'competitive' all the teams should be able to play the maximum games and not only 1 game and its over.

well its only my opinion and i think i'll not be the only one saying that its the better way, in the group phase u make at least 5 games, 5x6= 30 minutes plus the delays and technical problems etc u can put like more 20 minutes so with a total of 1 hour more or less u can do the group phase. its an win win situation, every team will get a chance to make at least 5 games and its not a luck shot in the brackets for some teams.

It -is- the better way, which is why I was intending to save it for a larger season...but it's not a terrible idea to use it now.

Aside from getting people into the right rooms...an hour is a pretty safe assumption for the group phase.

Just let Nubaso randomize the two groups.

its not my intention to interrupt the tournament and im not trying to take your organization role too but has a gamer i think that if u can do the things in a better way you should do it since u never now if will be a next one.
