  • Question about traits.

    So, for example: I've got a trait that gives me +5 to shooting accuracy, if I take a shot from the penalty box. And the question is: what does that "+5" mean? It is not in percents nor is there an accuracy stat, hence I have no idea how much that "+5" really is.

      shoot tech included shooting accuracy. reduce the probability of a fly ball in the penalty box.

        One would think, that it gives +x to a certain stat, yet it makes no sense (will explain why, a bit further in this post). The thing, that I am mainly talking about, is that the descriptions of traits are simply poor and badly written, as well as stats themselves. For example, "Stamina - You can keep up your high speed for longer if you have high stamina", my stamina is 218.
        -So... Billy, tell us for how long can I sprint with 218 stamina?
        -You can sprint for 218!
        -Billy, but that does not make any sense.
        -Umm... but that's the only thing that game says!
        -Yes, Billy, that is why we made a topic, which was supposed to be a hint for GMs, who could then tell devs to fix this crap, because it doesn't make any sense, but it seems like our little plan has failed.

        Now, let's jump back to the accuracy thing. I'm taking a guess here, but it seems like 400 is a cap for stats. My finishing is 286, which is 71,5% of 400, because 286*100/400. If we take 400 finishing as a 100% chance of hitting the target, then in theory, I should be able to hit the target about 3 out of 4 times. But if we take into account that there are things, which can increase or decrease this number, then that 71,5% means nothing for accuracy. Finishing stands for a lot of things, hence you can not say, that "+5 shooting accuracy" gives me +5 to finishing nor +5 to accuracy as it is not a standalone(?) stat.

          You're making a simple description into this overly complex calculation.

          More is better. 5 < 6. If you get a trait that gives > 5, then replace it.

          Accuracy is not a stat, it's depicting the ability to get a "Good" or "Perfect" shot when doing a Pen. This obviously means that the time to hit accurately (On the horizontal bar) is widened. By how much what does that really matter?

          You're (People in general, not you specifically) either terrible at pens, and utilize this trait to help with nailing a pen, or you disregard it for a trait more suited to your playstyle.

          Granted, I agree the localizations aren't perfect...but this comes with the territory of translated games. I haven't found a description yet that hasn't been able to explain what a skill/trait does.

            Your comment made me sad. Taking a shot from penalty box is not a penalty kick itself, so that's one thing which you clearly didn't get. Another thing would be, that charging money for something, means that you have to make it understandable for everyone, otherwise it's a bad and consumer unfriendly business practice. For an example, if you go to a restaurant, you take a look at the menu, you don't see description of a steak as "ITS A MEAT JUST EAT IT".

            More is better = bronze logic @_@. If I get +5 to a stat (which doesn't exist and once again, NO IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PENALTY KICKS) and it's 0.000000000000001% increase, then i don't give a flying fuck about that trait and if that +5 equals +20% then holy shit, balance issues.

            -But, sir! You shouldn't swear, they may ban you! And why are you constantly using percents?
            -Well, Billy, this forum, as well as the game, will probably die in a dark corner, because football, as any other sport, is competitive. And you can't have a competitive game if it's unbalanced, unaccurate and unclear. Besides, GMs are completly useless. Plus, games are basically numbers and if these numbers are shitty, then so is the game. And that, my dear Billy, is why I'm leaving this forum as well as why I won't give a fuck about this game anymore. Concept of the game is cool, way it's done and way it's being taken care of is not. Take a guess why xKick and Kicks died. Besides, there is no one to discusssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss anything with. At least fix this fucking typo in the forums name.

            The game is very unclear on stuff, I had a trait that said + 5 accuracy + 5 shooting power for 5 seconds if your team loses a point (how do you lose a point?) , I tried it and the trait activates upon enemy scoring but once you get to kick off the trait deactivates itself cause 5 seconds went by....
            This trait actually costed me 69 gkash or whatever the cheapest one is...

              Did you even read what I said, it clearly states that I tested it and already know how it activates.
              Still isn't losing a point IMO, sure enemy GETS a point but you don't LOSE one.
