Launcher Error: Launcher is already running

When I try to open the launcher, an error message pops up saying that the launcher is already running,

So far I've tried:
- Running the launcher as an administrator
- Restarting pc
- Reinstalling
- Redownloading and reinstalling
- Booting into Safe mode with networking and then starting the launcher

None of these fixed my issue.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi sho51

Make sure you do not have any other FreeStyle game launchers running, you cannot open FreeStyle 2 and FreeStyle: Football launcher at the same time.

Also try and close other programs that you are not using before playing and see which one may have caused the conflict.

I made sure that FreeStyle 2 was not open. I also just tried closing every program (including the programs kept in the notification area), but it still came up with the same error.
