As someone that likes to root for the underdog, this match was so confusing because there really wasn't one imo.

I am not surprised with how the match went. I was rooting for Atlético to hold on for the win. I knew that once Real Madrid scored at the very last minute of regulation that they would be boosted in the extra time periods.
Atl were spent defending for their lives and it didn't help that Diego Costa was injured and subbed out in the 10th minute (which I called). So that was a waste of a starting position because clearly Costa was not fit to play. But I feel for him because he wanted to play.
Atlético is a team that plays defensive and them being under siege by Real Madrid's continuous attack took its toll on them and once Bale scored the go-ahead in extra time, the flood gates opened. Atl had no energy left to respond and R. Ma. took advantage and got 2 more.
This caps off a great football season for Cristiano Ronaldo: winning his second Ballon d'Or, carrying his nation into qualifying for the World Cup, setting a record scoring 17 goals in the Champions League, and winning it all at the end.Comment

In my opinion, I think that we should not judge one person as good but the whole team as a whole, they each play an important part in carrying out the plays which made that one player shineComment
