  • SF Pub Build 2019 - SwishAndSlam - SPC Jack

    Hello Ballers,

    I'm SwishAndSlam, from the Philippines.

Since I don't see any SF players that much, I felt that I should create a guide based on how I view the SF position, in order to raise awareness on one of the best positions in FS2, in terms of balance. Since I come from a MOBA game, I figured there should be at least 2 ways to build the position.

I'm no Pro, but I think I've solved a way to play the position correctly, that your team's lineup is not important as long as it follows a guard-big man paradigm. Also I don't have a team hence I pick a build that will fit with any lineup.

Since everyone will have access to SPC Jack, the guide will be based on him which meets the basic requirement in order to follow the guide.

The game keeps on giving, I encourage everyone to increase the strenght of the position thru Gkash in order to put the position on top. Gkash is not mandatory but it ensures you will be competitive.

    The Position

You will choose an SF because of versatility. Monster on offense, Great on defense.

Things you should do - Offense
    • Jump shooting - 2pt scoring. You should be the best in terms of scoring inside the 3pt line.
    • Spacing. Since you have the shooting, opponents won't think twice on doubling your teammates. It means standing still somewhere.
    • Roaming. A MOBA term, but it is also applicable here
    • Attacking the rim. You're Jack, I already saw a PF, CT version of Jack. It means the character was built to have presence inside the paint, use it.
    • Screening. I rarely do this since most of the players I've played has a way of breaking off their opponents but Jack is still good at it.
That's already 5 things you can do on offense. Switching around from these actions will already make your opponent guess on what you will be doing in every play.

Things you should do - Defense
    • Making sure the opponents scorer will have a hard time scoring (PG, SG, DG, SF, SW). 5 positions that you could guard 1 on 1, but there's a catch, you should know when to switch with your faster teammate. One of the mismatch that is a problem to me, is when an opponent is too fast. If you're in this scenario, switch immediately with someone much faster than you.
    • Help defender. Just like in real basketball, sometimes the only way to ensure the team defended is to make the opponents scorer give up the ball. It is also applicable in the paint.
    • Help rebounder. You can easily do this at level 55, positioning is the key.
3 things that you will be doing defensively, I told you the position is versatile.

    Skill Build:

I kind of did some calibration with these skills, it will depend on how you want to build Jack. Please see the 2 builds that I'm using.
    • Jump Shooter. You plan to use this build when you're sure you have a 3pt scorer in your team. Mainly you use this build to ensure spacing and the almost auto 2pts from SF.
      • Quick Jumper
      • Double Clutch
      • Pull up
      • Turn around fade away III
      • Jab Step / SP Drive
      • Manual Block
      • Behind The Back
      • Drive and Cut
      • Spin And Drive (A+V)
      • Dribble with 3 kind of freestyle
      • SP Running
      • SP Stamina
      • Cards: Up to you
      • VIP and Event Skill Slot: Yes, if none remove 1 passive and/or either 1 from Jab Step/Manual Block
    • Pure scorer. You use this build to ensure you are a threat at all angles.
      • Quick Jumper
      • Double Clutch
      • Pull up
      • Turn around fade away III
      • SP 3pt I
      • SP 3pt Focus
      • Behind The Back
      • Jab Step / SP Drive
      • Spin And Drive (A+V)
      • Dribble with 3 kind of freestyle
      • SP Running
      • SP Stamina
      • Cards: Up to you
      • VIP and Event Skill Slot: Yes, if none remove 1 passive and/or either 1 from Jab Step/Manual Block
    Other Builds:
    • Defensive Build. Rebounder and defensive specialist.
    • Point Forward. Since I also main a PG, I can say it is possible. Needs another scorer in the team.
    Attribute Build:

Main attributes that needed to be skilled. After these attributes, you can put points in any attribute that you want.
    • 3pt
    • 2pt
    • Rebound
    • Block
    • Speed
    • Stamina
Level 50 Mastery: Option Lob Mastery

I will let you decide the attributes for the clothes, but mainly you use the points to strengthen the primary attrributes or put points on your choice of attributes.

Hope I've helped you decide to try the SF position, I really believe the SF does not need that much dribbling since the position has a lot of options in terms of scoring and some of the SF skills has a natural way of breaking off from the opponent.

Thanks FS2! Remember, get game or get owned!
