Old Player Returning

So I just recently returned and found this game has gone even more into the P2W route than it had before. But the most upsetting thing I found was the removal of cards from the blue item ball. Will this return? Is this just a tem speed test porary thing? An showbox d am I supposed to even think of leveling up my cards now?
